I'm Andrew Pfeffer...
As of this year (2021) I have been performing theatre since 2011, which if you add that up it has been almost 10 years of acting on stage. I had first fallen in love with theatre when I was in 6th grade and I took a "Drama" class as one of my electives. I didn't plan to do theatre as my career choice, rather I wanted to play sports and make it big in the NBA or NFL. But theatre had a different idea for me, and I am glad it did because I love acting and I can't see myself doing anything other than this for the rest of my life.
I am currently in a 4-year program at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi getting my BA in Acting/Directing. Also, at the end of my freshman year I picked up a minor in Communication Studies. Going to TAMU-CC is such a great experience and I have made so many connections here and I can't wait to take my skills into the real world.
I am originally from Dallas, Texas and I lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for most of my life. I came down to Corpus to go to school and I have lived down here since 2018. As I stated on my "Home" Page I am adopted from Russia. My parents adopted me when I was about 3-5 months old. About 2 months before my 1st birthday I was taken home to Texas and raised in their house for the rest of my life. I like to think of my adoption as a blessing and every day is a gift because if I was still in Russia I don't know where I'd be today without my parents coming along.
Theatre is such a magical thing to do and I think everyone should try or experience theatre. It can change a person and I am a living testimony to that. Theatre is something I want to pursue for the rest of my life and I am very excited to see where this journey takes me. As they say, one day at a time, and one show, character, and moment at a time.
